*🌷. తాత్పర్యం : తేజోపూర్ణములైన సర్వములందు తేజ:కారణుడతడే. భౌతికత్వమును అంధకారమునకు అతీతుడైన అతడు అవ్యక్తుడు. జ్ఞానము, జ్ఞానవిషయము, జ్ఞానగమ్యము కూడా అతడే. అతడే ఎల్లరి హృదయములందు స్థితుడై యున్నాడు.*
*🌷. భాష్యము : సూర్యుడు,చంద్రుడు, నక్షత్రములు వంటి తేజోమయములైన వాని తేజమునకు పరమాత్ముడే (దేవదేవుడే) కారణు. ఆధ్యాత్మికజగమునందు సూర్యుడు లేదా చంద్రుని అవసరము లేదనియు. దేవదేవుని తేజము అచ్చట విస్తరించియుండుటయే అందులకు కారణమనియు వేదవాజ్మయమున తెలుపబడినది. కాని భగవానుని తేజమైన ఆ బ్రహ్మజ్యోతి ఈ భౌతికజగమునందు మహాతత్త్వముచే (భౌతికాంశములు) కప్పుబడుట వలన ఇచ్చట వెలుగు కొరకు సూర్యుడు, చంద్రుడు, విద్యుత్తు మనకు అవసరములగుచున్నవి. ఇటువంటివి ఆధ్యాత్మికజగత్తున ఏమాత్రము అవసరముండవు.*
*భగవానుని ప్రకాశమానమైన కాంతి చేతనే సర్వమును ప్రకాశింపజేయబడుచున్నదని వేదములందు స్పష్టముగా తెలుపబడినది. దీనిని బట్టి అతడు భౌతికజగత్తు నందు స్థితిని కలిగిలేదని స్పష్టమగుచున్నది. ఆధ్యాత్మిక ఆకాశమున అత్యంతదూరములో దివ్యధామమునందు అతడు స్థితుడై యున్నాడు. ఈ విషయమును వేదములు సైతము నిర్ధారించియున్నవి. “ఆదిత్యవర్ణం తమస: పరస్తాత్ (శ్వేతాశ్వతరోపనిషత్తు 3.8) అనగా సూర్యుని వలె నిత్యకాంతిమంతుడైన భగవానుడు ఈ భౌతికజగత్తు అంధకారమునకు ఆవల నున్నాడు”.*

*🌷 Translation : He is the source of light in all luminous objects. He is beyond the darkness of matter and is unmanifested. He is knowledge, He is the object of knowledge, and He is the goal of knowledge. He is situated in everyone’s heart.*
*🌹 Purport : The Supersoul, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, is the source of light in all luminous objects like the sun, moon and stars. In the Vedic literature we find that in the spiritual kingdom there is no need of sun or moon, because the effulgence of the Supreme Lord is there. In the material world that brahma-jyotir, the Lord’s spiritual effulgence, is covered by the mahat-tattva, the material elements; therefore in this material world we require the assistance of sun, moon, electricity, etc., for light.*
*But in the spiritual world there is no need of such things. It is clearly stated in the Vedic literature that because of His luminous effulgence, everything is illuminated. It is clear, therefore, that His situation is not in the material world. He is situated in the spiritual world, which is far, far away in the spiritual sky. That is also confirmed in the Vedic literature. Āditya-varṇaṁ tamasaḥ parastāt (Śvetāśvatara Upaniṣad 3.8). He is just like the sun, eternally luminous, but He is far, far beyond the darkness of this material world.*

(11)దైత్యుల యొక్క, శూరలగు దానవులయొక్క, మరియు బలవంతులగు కంకులయొక్క ఎనభై ఆరుపటాలములు సైన్యము ఆయుధములను సిద్ధముచేసుకొని నిర్భయముగా వెంటనే బయలుదేరవలెను (12). కోటి సైన్యముతో సమమగు పరాక్రమముగల అసురుల సేనలు ఏబది గలవు. దేవపక్షపాతియగు శంభునితో యుద్దము కొరకై ఆ సేనలు బయలుదేరును గాక! (13) ధౌమ్రుల వంద సేనలు నా ఆజ్ఞచే సన్నద్ధులై శంభునితో యుద్దము కొరకు వెంటనే బయలుదేరవలెను (14). కాలకేయులు, మౌర్యులు, మరియు కాలకులు నా ఆజ్ఞచే సన్నద్ధులై రుద్రునితో యుద్ధము కొరకు బయలుదేరెదరు గాక! (15).*
*సనత్కుమారుడిట్లు పలికెను - అసురులకు, దానవులకు ప్రభువు, మహాబలశాలియగు శంఖచూడుడు ఇట్లు ఆజ్ఞాపించి వేలాది పటాలముల మహాసైన్యముతో చుట్టు వారబడిన వాడై బయలు దేరెను (16). ఆతని సేనాపతి యుద్ధకళలో నిపుణుడు, మహాదథి, మహావీరుడు, యుద్ధములో రథికులలో శ్రేష్ఠుడు (17). మూడు లక్షల అక్షౌహిణీల సేనతో గూడియున్న ఆ సేనాపతి మంగళకరమగు పూజాదులను చేసి శిబిరము బయటకు వచ్చెను. యుద్ధములో శత్రు వీరులకాతడు భయమును గొల్పు చుండెను (18).ఆతడు శ్రేష్ఠమగు రత్నములతో అద్భుతముగా నిర్మింపబడిన విమానము నధిష్ఠించి, పెద్దలందరికీ నమస్కరించిన తరువాత, యుద్ధము కొరకు బయలుదేరెను (19).*

13. Let the fifty families of Asuras, having the heroism and prowess of a crore set out to fight with Śiva, the partisan of the gods.
14. At my bidding, let the hundred armed families of Dhaumras speedily set out to fight with Śiva.
15. At my behest, let the Kālakeyas Mauryas, Dauhṛdas and the Kālakas set out ready for the fight with Śiva.
Sanatkumāra said:—
16. After ordering thus, the powerful lord of Asuras and the Emperor of the Dānavas set out surrounded by thousands of warriors and great armies.
1 7. His general was an expert in the science and technique of warfare. He was the best of charioteers a great hero and skilled in warfare.
18. He had three hundred thousand Akṣauhiṇī[2] armies. He performed the rites of auspicious beginning and came out of the camp. He was terrible to the watching heroes.
19. Mounting on an aerial chariot of exquisite build and inlaid with gems, and making obeisance to the elders and preceptors he set out for the battle.
