కాలినేమి కూడ కోపించి తన ధనస్సు నుండి విడిచి పెట్టబడిన మిక్కిలి వాడియగు బాణములతో నందియొక్క ధనస్సును విరుగగొట్టెను (10). అపుడు వీరుడగు నందీశ్వరుడు మహారాక్షసుడగు ఆ కాలనేమిని ప్రక్కకు నెట్టి శూలముతో గట్టిగా వక్షస్థ్సలమునందు గొట్టెను (11). అతని వక్షస్థ్సలము ఆ శూలపు దెబ్బకు చీలియుండెను. అతని గుర్రములు మరియు సారథి మరణించిరి. అపుడు ఆతడు పర్వత శిఖరమును పెకలించి దానితో నందిని కొట్టెను (12). మరియు రథమును అధిష్ఠించియున్న శుంభుడు, మూషకవాహనుడగు గజాననుడు యుద్ధమును చేయుచూ, బాణపరంపరలతో ఒకరినొకరు కొట్టిరి (13).*
*అపుడు గజాననుడు శంభుని బాణముతో హృదయమునందు కొట్టెను. మరియు మూడు బాణములతో సారథిని నేలగూల్చెను (14). అపుడు శుంభుడు కూడ మిక్కిలి కోపించి గజాననుని బాణవర్షముతో ముంచెత్తి మూషకమును మూడు బాణములతో గొట్టి మేఘమువలె గర్జించెను (15). బాణములచే చీల్చబడిన అవయవములు గల మూషకము తీవ్రవేదనచే కంపించి పోయెను. నేలప్తెబడిన గజాననుడు పదాతి ఆయెను (16).*

10. With very sharp shafts discharged from his bow, the infuriated Kālanemi cut the bow of Nandin.
11. Defying the great demon Kālanemi the heroic Nandīśvara hit him in the chest with his spear.
12. With his horses and charioteer killed and himself wounded in the chest, he broke the top of a mountain and hit Nandin.
13. Then Śumbha and Gaṇeśa seated respectively in a chariot and on a mouse fought each other with volleys of arrows.
14. Gaṇeśa hit Śumbha in his chest with an arrow and felled his charioteer with three arrows on the ground.
15. Then the infuriated Śumbha covered Gaṇeśa with a shower of arrows. Hitting the mouse with three arrows he roared like thunder.
16. The mouse pierced by the arrows, shook with acute pain. Gaṇeśa was thrown off (his vehicle) and he became a foot soldier (as it were).

*జంతువులకి నరాల వ్యాధి లేదు ఎందుకంటే వాటికి ఆదర్శాలు లేవు. వృక్షాలకి నరాల బలహీనత లేదు ఎందుకంటే వాటికి 'ఆదర్శాలు లేవు. అవి మరొకరిగా మారడానికి ప్రయత్నించవు. అవి జీవన సంసారం సామాన్యంగా ఎంజాయ్ చేస్తున్నాయి. నువ్వు నువ్వే. కానీ ఎక్కడో లోతుగా మీరు బుద్ధుడిగా లేదా కృష్ణుడిగా మారాలని కోరుకుంటారు, ఆపై మీరు అంతులేని వృత్తంలో తిరుగుతారు. అసలు విషయం చూడండి. నువ్వు నువ్వే. ఉనికి అంతా మీరు మీరుగానే ఉండాలని కోరుకుంటోంది. అందుకే అస్తిత్వం మిమ్మల్ని సృష్టించింది, లేకపోతే అది వేరే నమూనాను సృష్టించేది. ఈ సమయంలో మీరు ఇక్కడ ఉండాలని కోరుకుంది. ఇది ఏ బుద్ధుడో మీ స్థానంలో ఇక్కడ ఉండాలని కోరుకోలేదు. పైగా ఉనికికి మీ గురించి బాగా తెలుసు.*

Just see the point of it-you are you. And the whole, or existence, wants you to be you. That's why existence has created you, otherwise it would have created a different model. It wanted you to be here at this moment. It did not want Jesus to be here in place of you. And existence knows better.*
*The whole always knows better than the part. So just accept yourself. If you can accept yourself, you have learned the greatest secret of life, and then everything comes on its own.
