🌷. తాత్పర్యం :
ఓ జనార్దనా! లోభపూర్ణ చిత్తము కలిగిన విరందరును కులసంహారమునందు గాని, బంధువులతో కలహమునందు గాని దోషమును గాంచకున్నాను.
🌷. భాష్యము :
ప్రతిపక్షమువారు ఆహ్వానిచినప్పుడు క్షత్రియుడైనవాడు యుద్ధము చేయుటకుగాని, జూదమాడుటకుగాని నిరాకారింపరాదు.
కావున అట్టి నియమము ననుసరించి అర్జునుడు యుద్ధము నొనరించుట నిరాకారింపరాదు. దుర్యోధనుని పక్షము వారిచే అతడు యుద్ధమునకు ఆహ్వానింపబడుటయే అందులకు కారణము.
కాని అట్టి యుద్ధపంతపు ప్రభావములను ప్రతిపక్షమువారు చూడజాలకున్నారని అతడు భావించెను. కాని అతడు ఆ దుష్టప్రభావములను గాంచగలిగినందున ప్రతిపక్షమువారి పంతమును అంగీకరింపలేకపోయెను.
ఫలితము శుభకరమైనచో నియమమును కచ్చితముగా పాటింపవచ్చును, కాని ఫలితము విరుద్ధముగా నున్నప్పుడు ఎవ్వరును దానికి కట్టుబడ జాలరు.ఈ విధమైన మంచిచెడ్డలను ఆలోచించియే అర్జునుడు యుద్ధము చేయరాదని నిశ్చయించుకొనెను.

🌷 Purport :
A kṣatriya is not supposed to refuse to battle or gamble when he is so invited by some rival party. Under such an obligation, Arjuna could not refuse to fight, because he had been challenged by the party of Duryodhana.
In this connection, Arjuna considered that the other party might be blind to the effects of such a challenge. Arjuna, however, could see the evil consequences and could not accept the challenge.
Obligation is actually binding when the effect is good, but when the effect is otherwise, then no one can be bound. Considering all these pros and cons, Arjuna decided not to fight.

మిథ్యాహంకారముచే ప్రభావితుడు కానివాడును, సంగత్వరహిత బుద్ధిని కలిగినవాడును అగు మనుజుద్ జగమునందు జనులను సంహరించినను సంహారమొనర్చనట్లే యగును. అతడెన్నడును తన కర్మలచే బద్దుడు కాడు.
🌷. భాష్యము :
యుద్ధము చేయరాదనెడి కోరిక మిథ్యాహంకారము నుండి ఉద్భవించుచున్నదని శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుడు అర్జునునికి ఈ శ్లోకమున తెలియజేయుచున్నాడు. అర్జునుడు తనను కర్తగా భావించెనే గాని అంతర్భాహ్యములందు సూచనలొసగు భగవానుని గమనింపలేదు. కర్మనొనర్చుటకు దివ్యమైన అనుజ్ఞ ఒకటుండునని తెలియనిచో అతడు కర్మ నెందులకు చేయవలెను? కాని కర్మసాధనములను, కర్తగా తనను మరియు దివ్యానుజ్ఞకర్తగా శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుని తెలిసికొనగలిగినవాడు ఏ కార్యము నొనర్చుట యందై నను పూర్ణుడై యుండును. అట్టివాడు ఎన్నడును మోహమునకు గురి కాడు.
నేనే చేయుచున్నాను, నాదే బాధ్యత అనెడి భావములు మిథ్యాహంకారము మరియు నాస్తికత్వము (కృష్ణభక్తిరాహిత్యము) నుండి ఉద్భవించుచున్నవి. పరమాత్ముని (లేదా భగవానుని) నిర్దేశమునందు కృష్ణభక్తిభావన యందు వర్తించువాడు సంహారకార్య మొనర్చినను సంహరింపనివాడే యగును.
ఆలాగుననే సంహారముచే కలుగు ప్రతిచర్య చేతను అతడు ప్రభావితుడు కాకుండును. ఉన్నతసైన్యాధికారి ఆజ్ఞపై సంహారమును సాగించు సైనికుడు ఎన్నడును అపరాధమునకు గురికాడు. కాని సైనికుడు తన స్వంత కారణమున ఎవరినేని చంపినచో చట్టముచే తప్పక శిక్షకు గురిచేయుబడును.

🌷 Translation :
One who is not motivated by false ego, whose intelligence is not entangled, though he kills men in this world, does not kill. Nor is he bound by his actions.
🌹 Purport :
In this verse the Lord informs Arjuna that the desire not to fight arises from false ego. Arjuna thought himself to be the doer of action, but he did not consider the supreme sanction within and without.
If one does not know that a supersanction is there, why should he act? But one who knows the instruments of work, himself as the worker, and the Supreme Lord as the supreme sanctioner is perfect in doing everything. Such a person is never in illusion.
Personal activity and responsibility arise from false ego and godlessness, or a lack of Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Anyone who is acting in Kṛṣṇa consciousness under the direction of the Supersoul or the Supreme Personality of Godhead, even though killing, does not kill.
Nor is he ever affected by the reaction of such killing. When a soldier kills under the command of a superior officer, he is not subject to be judged. But if a soldier kills on his own personal account, then he is certainly judged by a court of law.

When we say that Truth is non-relative, we have said everything about it. For, to say anything else about it would be to make it relative. And to maintain a consciousness of this non-relativity without any adjectives—for adjectives create again a sense of relativity—would be to live in Truth.
This is life-absolute, which steers clear of all references to the outside, and stands supreme in the strictest sense of the term. It is this that people call God, a word whose meaning has not become clear to us, still. The magic works by a single stroke of mental effort, and this magic is the realisation of Truth. Hands and feet do not help us here, nor do the traditional modes of thinking.
This transfiguring process deals a deathblow to all that man holds as dear and near in the darkness of his ignorance, for its function is to enlighten him rather than please him, to light the lamp of understanding rather than feed his passions, to wake him from sleep rather than serve him a meal in dream.

267. సత్యాన్ని తెలుసుకొన్న తరువాత, అచట ఇంకా బలమైన శాశ్వతమైన, మూర్ఖమైన భావనతో తాను ఒక అనుచరునిగా, అనుభవాన్ని పొందేవానిగా భావిస్తుంటాడు. అది కేవలము మార్పు చెందే స్థితి. ఆ స్థితిని కూడా జాగ్రత్తగా తొలగించాలి. ఎలానంటే తాను స్థిరంగా బ్రహ్మాన్ని లేక జీవాత్మననే ఎఱుకతో ఉండాలి. యోగులు ఏవిధంగా పూర్తి విముక్తిని పొంది ఏవిధమైన కోరికలు, స్వార్థము లేకుండా, వాసనలు లేకుండా జీవిస్తారో అలాగా.
268. ‘నేను’, ‘నాది’ అనే శారీరక భావనలు అనాత్మకు చెందినవి. తెలివి గల వ్యక్తి అట్టి అనాత్మ భావనలు పూర్తిగా తొలగించుకొని తానే ఆత్మనని స్థిరముగా ఉండాలి.
269. నీ యొక్క అంతర్గత ఆత్మను తెలుసుకొన్న తరువాత బుద్దిని దాని యొక్క భావనలను స్థిరముగా అనుకూల భావనలతో ‘అదే నేను’ అని భావిస్తూ తాను అనాత్మ అనే భావనను జయించాలి.

268. The idea of "me and mine" in the body, organs, etc., which are the non-Self – this superimposition the wise man must put a stop to, by identifying himself with the Atman.
269. Realising thy own Inmost Self, the Witness of the Buddhi and its modifications, and constantly revolving the positive thought, "I am That", conquer this identification with the non-Self.

వ్రతములలోకెల్ల బ్రహ్మచర్య వ్రతము శ్రేష్ఠమైనది. మొదట శారీరక బ్రహ్మచర్యము, అటుపైన మానసిక బ్రహ్మచర్యము సాధించు కొనవలెను. మనసు బ్రహ్మమునందే చరించినచో బ్రహ్మచర్య వ్రతము పరిపూర్తి యగును. బ్రహ్మచర్యము, భోగజీవనము పరస్పర విరుద్ధములు. యోగి భోగియై కూడా నుండగలడు. కాని భోగి యోగి కానేరడు. యోగసిద్ధి కలుగునంత వరకు భోగజీవనమునకు ఉన్ముఖత్వము చూపరాదు.
కేవలము భౌతికమైన బ్రహ్మచర్య మవలంబించిన చాలదు. మనస్సును, బ్రహ్మమును మరల మరల జ్ఞప్తికి తెచ్చుకొనుచు, అరిషడ్వర్గములు చేరనివ్వని మనస్సు నేర్పరచుకొనవలెను. బ్రహ్మ భావమును ఊహించుచు, శ్లాఘించుచు అందరి సుఖమే ప్రధానముగ జీవించువాడు బ్రహ్మచర్య వ్రతదీక్షను అవలంబించిన వాడగును.

మనం అస్తిత్వానికి ఎంతో సన్నిహితంగా వున్నాం. కానీ పక్క పక్కనే నడుస్తున్నాం. పక్కన సాగే దారిలో నడుస్తున్నాం. ఆ రెండు దారులు కలవ్వు. మనం గతంలోకి, భవిష్యత్తులోకి పోవడం ఆపితే ఆ రెండుదార్లూ క్రమంగా దగ్గరవుతాయి. ఒకటవుతాయి. ఒక రోజు హఠాత్తుగా ఒకే దారి మిగుల్తుంది. రెండుదార్లూ అదృశ్యమవుతాయి.
అక్కడ గొప్ప ఆనందం క్షణం, గొప్ప ఆరాధనా క్షణం ఆవిష్కారమవుతుంది. ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ ఆ క్షణం కోసమే ఆరాటపడతారు. అన్వేషిస్తారు. కానీ జనం దారి తప్పుతారు. బాధలు పడతారు. సిద్ధం కా. సిద్ధం కావడమంటే ఈ క్షణంలో జీవించడానికి సిద్ధపడడం. అప్పుడు నువ్వు అస్తిత్వానికి ఆశ్రయమవుతావు. అదే జీవితానికి పరిపూర్ణతను యిచ్చేది.

*🌻267. 'గోవిందరూపిణీ'🌻*
రక్షించు గుణముతో కూడిన విష్ణురూపము కలది శ్రీదేవి అని అర్థము. రక్షణము శ్రీదేవి రెండవ కృత్యము. మొదటి కృత్యము సృజనము. హరివంశము నందు నారదుడు ఇట్లు పలికెను. “ప్రకృతి యొక్క రెండవ తత్త్వము సర్వమయుడు. సర్వవ్యాప్తియైన విష్ణువు. విష్ణువు లోక రక్షకుడు, స్త్రీ సంజ్ఞ గలవాడు. ఇదియే శ్రీమాత జగన్మోహిని లేక జగన్మోహన రూపము.
రక్షకుడు గనుక గో శబ్దము అతనికే తగినది. పూర్వము భూమిని నశింపజేయుటకు అసుర శక్తులు ప్రయత్నింపగ శ్రీమాత విష్ణురూపమున భూమిని రక్షించెను. అప్పుడు దేవతలు విష్ణురూపిణియైన శ్రీమాతను గోవిందరూపిణి అని స్తుతించిరి. గాం + విందతి - గోవింద అయినది. 'గాం' అనగా భూమి. భూమిని రక్షించిన శక్తి అని గోవింద పదమున కర్ణము. గో అనిననూ భూమియే. భూమి, గోవు, ఇంద్రియములు, సూర్య కిరణములు వీటన్నిటిని గో శబ్దముతో పిలుతురు. స్రవించునవి అన్నియూ గోవులే. ఇట్టివాని నన్నింటినీ రక్షించువాడు గోవిందుడు.
మన శరీరము భూమి వంటిది గావున గోవు. వానిని నడిపించు ఇంద్రియములు గోవులు.
ఇంద్రియానుభవము వలన స్రవించు ఆనందము గోవు. మన యందలి గ్రంథులు గోవులు. అవి స్రవించినపుడే ఉత్తమ మగు ఆనందము కలుగును. ఇట్లు రసానుభూతి, రక్షణము నిచ్చు తత్త్వముగ గోవింద తత్త్వమున్నది. గోవింద రూపిణిగ యున్నది శ్రీదేవియే.

*🌻 Govinda-rūpiṇī गोविन्द-रूपिणी (267) 🌻*
Govinda is Viṣṇu. Viṣṇu is the protector of this universe. When one needs health, wealth and prosperity one has to worship Viṣṇu. Viṣṇu should not be worshipped alone to get material prosperity and should be worshipped along with His consort Lakṣmī and this form is known as Lakṣmī Nārāyana. This form is considered as the most auspicious form. If one needs to get rid of some difficulties, one has to pray Lakṣmī Nārāyaṇa form of Viṣṇu. Narasiṃha, also known as Nārasiṃha form of Viṣṇu is considered as the only terrible form; otherwise Viṣṇu is considered as the most auspicious God.
Viṣṇu is known through Veda-s and Upaniṣads. Go (गो) means vāc or words. Since the qualities of Viṣṇu cannot be described by words He is called Govinda. Go also means earth. Since He sustains the earth, He is called Govinda. When the great dissolution took place (refer nāma 232), Viṣṇu lifted and saved the earth (earth is only a part of the universe) from water that prevailed everywhere. Because He saved the earth, He is called Govinda.
